Corey went on to say he was writing only to Trachtenberg and Alan and not going to either the communist or other press because he thought such matters should be private. “I don’t believe in airing disagreements on policy or tactics to the public, any more than I would criticize the Communist Party to a non-communist.” Corey would later have the opportunity to suck up to the reactionary crowd.
